Productive Beginners

Another great day at the Beginners Group on Monday. It started with tables already set up in a different configuration than usual, but that did not deter the members from getting on with their sewing. When everyone was busy, Deb (teacher) and Julie (convenor) took a break maybe to discuss projects for the beginners to undertake in future sessions??.

Sometimes members bring along quilts they have finished, to show to the group, It is always great to see what a ‘Beginner’ can do, and I am amazed at how quickly some can get their projects finished. I was also impressed with the cutting mat bags that Jan and Francis had completed, particularly as both were made without using a pattern or kit.

A bag for cutting mats and rulers is on my list of things to do, actually it has been since I first started going to the Beginners Group more than four years ago. I guess I have to keep going and hope that some of their productivity will pass to me!!
