QuiltWest 2024 Winners

Congratulations to Tracey Bareli on winning the QuiltWest Bernina Best in Show Award for her impressive ‘Quilters Delight’. Tracey’s quilt won 1st prize in the Traditional Quilts Professional category, Best Longarm Machine Quilting and Best Use of Colour. Tracey also won Runner up Best in Show for her quilt Denim Canvas which won 1st prize in the Recycled category. The QuiltWest 2024 event held over the past four days was a huge success, due to the large number of entries, special displays by a number of WAQA groups and massive efforts by the QuiltWest committee and additional volunteers. The atmosphere was energizing every day and the only quiet moments were before the doors opened at 9:30 in the morning (if you could ignore the music playing quite loudly in the background).

It was great to see so many WAQA members attend the event to view their entries or entries of their friends. Hopefully those that did not enter this year have been inspired to start planning their entries for QuiltWest 2025.
